Re: Transporting Tips?

Thanks Dave. Since the machine is mounted to a rolling table we will not need to lift it. I like your idea about sandwiching the Z plate between styrofoam and the table.

I don't recall the limit switches being removed when we got the machine, but it's not a bad idea.

Transporting Tips?

We are considering moving our Meteor to another site to bring it closer to allow for better accessibility while we learn the machine. Currently our Meteor resides a Kreg workbench with casters and 2 sheets of 3/4 plywood sandwiched together. We will fasten it to the top using either existing bracket...

Re: Table?

We used a Kreg Universal Bench with casters. We then used 2 sheets of 3/4 plywood for the top. Overall, I was really impressed. It isn't cheap, but it's sturdy and rolls very well.

Missy - How are you guys coming along with the Z Touch off plate? It would be nice to be able to have consistent touch offs each time, especially when coupled with the installed Tool Length Sensor.

Re: 110v Spindle Relay run on shutdown

110v Spindle Relay run on shutdown

Hi All, Ran our Meteor for the first time this past weekend. Before I called the team, I wanted to see if I was doing the shut down procedure incorrectly. As I was shutting down at the end of the day, I closed the software and shut down Ubuntu. At that point the spindle turned on. I know I can avoid...
