Re: Limit Switch Errors
Also check the grounding between machine and computer. If the ground is not very good, you can get some false switch readings.

Re: Configurator
I believe the mystery has been solved. The problem with the configurator occurs after I re-install the .ngc files to the nc_files folder. I have a lot of files that are about 4GB in size. The configurator backs up the files in the nc_files folder and this takes a lot of time. I have left the blank s...

Re: Computer locking up/crashing on my Asteroid
I don't have any wireless devices connected, no bluetooth, and no wifi. I will look into the ferrite solution.

Configurator
Has anyone been able to get the latest configurator to run. When I try to run the probotix.sh file in terminal and I get only a blank screen with a blinking cursor. I had run it in the past, but the updated configurator just won't run. I am trying to add a z puck to my asteroid.

Re: Plotter - drafting
There are cnc plotter type pens available. I have not tried them, but I think they are what you need.

Re: New to CNC
I can confirm the findings of the last poster, but I have had a little different experience. I retired and then got into cnc using a Probotix V90, which was a reasonably priced entry level hobby machine. I used it for a couple of years and got most of my duh moments out of the way with the V90. Prob...

Re: Router bits
I have found very good bits at toolstoday.com with longer cutting lengths. I use 1/8" double fluted up spiral bits with a 13/16" cutting edge for a 1/4" collet.
