I had a similar problem and tightened up the tolerance and the problem was solved.
You might try a tolerance of 0.010". It looks like it is moving in the xy plane before the Z has reached the programmed height.
Try it and let us know.

Sounds like the machine does not know where you want Z zero to be. Are you touching off the tip of the cutter to zero on the top surface of the workpiece? The position register for Z should show ZERO after you touch-off. Then when you tell the cutter to cut 1/2 inch deep that is from zero (the top o...

The Queen assembled without a problem. It also required the tabs to be waxed. Without wax, I could not push hard enough to slide the two pieces together. With wax the assembly process required considerable pressure but they slid together and locked in place.
