I also use VCarve and have modified the post processor with different coordinate systems as I usually use G58 (not sure why I picked that one), but doesn't really matter as long as you remember when touching off your part. In VCarve job setup, is your X/Y datum set up to the center of the deign or the lower left? If it is in the center, then you are going to have to physically position your material on the spoilboard where it will fit and then re-zero X/Y. I wouldn't necessarily do that especially if using G54 coordin...

Also make sure that you 'recalculate' your toolpaths after making changes in your material setup.
