Unity with Linux PC

Postby Fasteddie » Fri May 19, 2017 5:19 pm

I have a FLA Saturn 4 x 4 frame and will use my Probotix Unity to drive it. I powered up the Linux PC and the CNC software is not even set up, I also bought the 4 larger motors with cables. I was going thru the setup wizard and trying to figure out all the information for each screen. I began changing the parallel port pins to match what Probotix sets theirs to for their machines, I figured this would be a good base line to start with, similar type machine with different foot print. So I go to launch the program and it errors out. I am seeing the error is from the parallel port settings, if I do not change any of these settings and use as it is default the program launches. The default only has X, Y, Z and A. Does not match what Probotix uses or match the back of unity which has X, Y1, Y2, Z, A. I am waiting for Probotix to call me to walk me thru this. In the mean time can anyone show me their parallel port pin settings, a screen shot would be helpful.
