Thanks for the feedback on the 1617. It sounds like that's the one I'll go with. I'm just anxiously awaiting approval to purchase the machine.

Hi,

I own a Meteor with Dewalt DWP-611 Router and SuperPID controller, I can control the desired speed directly from LinuxCNC (need another breakout board and secondary parallel port) or manually with a knob, when I use the PC control the best thing is that when the material gets hard to cut or something slows down the router speed, the machine feed rate alse sets to a lower speed, I think it is called "constant surface speed", I find the superPID very convenient when cutting plastics, it enables the router work with 5000rpm to 30k rpm.
