Pistol Grip Files

Good afternoon guys,
I have had an interest, for a long time now, in creating and making pistol grips. It's one of the reasons I bought my machine. I have a good line on some really nice exotic woods and other materials. But as I have started my searches for information, particularly in files for CNCs, I have had no luck. Am I missing something? I haven't been able to find anything. Are these files top secret, or is no one willing to share or sell them? Just curious. I'm not trying to horn in on anyone's business products, I just am trying to create some business of my own. My wife works for a wholesale supply company to the gun industry and I have an avenue there also. Can someone give me some direction or advice on where to get/buy these files and also for files for the jigs? Anything is greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Troy

Here are some 1911 grips. What pistol are you looking for?

Thanks DPOA! Mostly 1911 grips. They are my favorite handguns. I would eventually like to be able to make most of the popular handgun grips!

It appears that the link you sent me was for 3D printing pistol grips!

If you have vectric aspire or similar you can import .stl files and create a tool path.

here is a quick preview using the files for thingiverse (.stl). I have not cut them yet just previewed using aspire. I have been messing around with stabilizing my own wood for grips. Hopefully will try soon and post a pic.

Hmmm, forum won't allow me to attach an STL File?

OK they fixed the STL file download. Try this. I have not actually carved these but they look great. :D

Before trying any fancy detail, check out youtube videos on stabilizing wood using a vacuum process. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfS9KgsKZmI
