Susan Ferroni-Keleher of Winterset Shetland Sheepdogs was kind enough to share the original commissioned pen and ink portrait of a Winterset Puppy by Myrna Obermiller that inspired this piece.
The Sheltie portrait was engraved on a raised pedestal as a 3-dimensional object to maintain fine detail – with over 4 hours of cutting on the CNC machine. When the colors and wash go – the portrait comes to life in spectacular fashion.
Total machine time for this job was a little over 6 hours - plus an additional 4 hours of sanding, staining, and finishing. The results are spectacular - worth every minute. Merry Christmas Susan! ;-]
A beautiful and functional 3-dimensional art piece for the Shetland Sheepdog lover.
