new owner questions

Postby cantwaittogetone » Fri Jun 10, 2016 2:44 pm

I have a limited work space needed for a part i want to rout
Can i set x-y limits so the spindle does not travel the entire table?
I don't have a machine but want to purchase one

Also, i want to create simple square rout paths using the software, what software do i need to
run these simple programs Cut2D?

Thanks, Steve

Cut2D will work well for simple geometrical shapes. Most cam softwares can handle that. The machine will really only travel in the area you tell it to. What space restraints do you have?

The only time the router needs to cover more area that you wish is during its initial homing Once you touch off the X.Y, and Z origin coordinates the router will stay within your defined area unless you jog it or program it to do otherwise.
