Here are some joints made on my Comet.
I really like the Knapp Joint. It was designed by Mr. Knapp after the Civil War as a machine made alternative to the Hand-Made Dovetail joint for
furniture of the day. Then somebody figured out how to cut dovetails by machine and the Knapp joint looked too High Tech and the dovetail although made by machine was a reminder of the day when quality furniture was hand made by skilled craftsmen.
The Knapp Joint is very strong and is ideal for drawer construction and with only minor modifications, it is easy to make using the CNC router.

Re: Joints Anyone
There are a number of joints that use different shapes to fasten two pieces.
Here is one that uses DogBones.

Re: Joints Anyone
Awesome joints! How did you cut the Knapp joint in the dark board with the CNC? With it being cut on the end of a board like that, I cannot picture how you would do that with the circular dowel portion in the center (or.. is that actually a dowel?)
Re: Joints Anyone
They are cut on the end of the board.
That is one of the GREAT advantages of the Probotix CNC Routers. They don't have a lead screw down the center.
So I have a hole in the table that supports my Comet. Then I cut the first 12" off the spoilboard and added a cross piece to the frame and mounted a vertical board at 90 degrees to the CNC's spoilboard surface. So I can mount a 36" long board on end and cut the Knapp joint on the end.
I have a picture somewhere. I'll post it, if I can find it otherwise, I will take a new picture. One of the reasons I originally bought the comet was for making drawers and It is ideal for that task.
Here is the walnut drawer front with out the side piece.

Here is my Comet cutting a joint after making the modifications to allow up to a 36" long board to be cut on end.

Here is a picture of the frame modifications.
Note that the rotary was reversed so the headstock is now at the end beside the emergency stop button.
