Neat Plaque.
Looks like the font cut really well. What font is that?
How deep is the cut around the letters?
It is what it is!
Have a great day.

Your plaque really looks great. What software did you use? It's amazing how many different looks you can get by cutting your design using a different technique, pockets, v-carving etc.

Very nice plaque. Can I ask what bit and speed did you use?

Hannah, the font is "West Test". Depth is .5". The board was 5 quarters thick White Ash.
I used V-Carve Pro 7 and since I am not really all that well versed in G-Code programming I let the S/W determine the speed.
By putting a frame around the design I got the 3D effect. If I delete the frame the S/W carves the text recessed.
The bit was 60 degree V.

Great Job. It sure doesn't look like it was cut 0.5" deep with a V bit.
I would have bet it was cut with a 3/32 or 1/8 Dia flat end mill.
I'm going to look around and see if I can find that font and add it to my collection.
Thanks for the information.

I'm back from the search.
I did a google search and found several sites with the West Text font for FREE download.
I chose the site www.fontplace.com
Now I have it and 12 other fonts that looked like they would cut.
Thanks again.
It is what it is!
Have a great day.
