What RPM do you all run your End Mills? I have a 1/4" and have been chipping out the carbide bits I bought.

I run a Bosh 1617 Variable Speed that varies from 8000 to 25000 and has 6 speed numbers. RPM numbers are no load RPMs.
When cutting wood my normal settings are:
1/4" Dia. solid carbide run on # 4 or 16000 to 18000
1/8" Dia. solid carbide run on #5 or 20000 to 22000
1/16" Dia. solid carbide and smaller get # 6 or 25000

I was told that my router would last longer if I slowed down the RPM a notch or two.
He was running everything at 10,000 RPM. But, his feed rate was slower than mine too.

Thanks, I've been running mine way over then at 27,000 probably explains why they all look like this.

Looks like it has been hot.
what feed rate are you using?
At 27000 RPM you would probably need a feed rate of 150 plus IPM!
I try to run at 100 IPM but the G-64 tolerance setting slows it down on
any cut less than a couple inches long.

My toolpath file says 100 IPM.
