STEPPER-MOTORS/Green-Monster-420-OzIn-8-Wire-Stepper-Motor

Postby Migmoral » Mon Oct 05, 2015 10:49 pm

Well I have been a little slow in getting my machine up and running. Last week I did carve a couple of small plaques. Today I had my machine carving for a little more than 2 hours continuously. I have a Nebula with the Green-Monster-420-OzIn-8-Wire-Stepper-Motors. I am somewhat concerned with the motors running the Y-axis getting a little hot. I could put my hand on them but they were pretty hot. The X-axis and Z-axis motors remained relatively cool. Didn't have any warm wiring, so I felt everything was normal. Am I correct in assuming this, or should I be worried that those 2 motors are getting too hot?

The axis that is doing the most moving will get hot. Mine gets so hot that you can't touch it sometimes it is all normal
I love my Nebula
