Lithophane Project

Good friends recently had twin girls so I created a lithophane of the girls using a recent picture of them. Lithophanes are unique and make great gifts and become keepsakes for those you give one to. The lithophane is cut from 1/4" Corian using a 1/8 ball mill. The design was created on Aspire. It is backlit using LED strips connected to an IR remote controller. I used black walnut and Honduras mahogany for the frame. Hope you like it!

That looks really great.
One of the best lithophane's that I've seen.
I tried to do one a few years ago and the image was hardly recognizable.
So I didn't do any more photograph lithophanes.
After seeing this, I will have to do another photo based lithophane.
