Pod Organizer

Postby HANNAH024 » Fri Dec 28, 2018 7:09 pm

This is just a simple "pod organizer" for a single serve coffee machine. I have made several of these for friends and relatives. This year my Grandson asked me where I got the pod organizer that his Dad and Mom used in their kitchen. When I told him that I made it, he asked if I would be interested in making him one. I'm sure you know the rest of the story..... Here is a picture of the pod organizer. Each section is made of 1/2" thick food grade plastic. I have also used plastic cutting boards when I find them on sale. Each section is 8.5 inches by 10 inches since the drawer where it fits is 8.5X20. The legs are 8-32 by 1.25' long machine screws with a rubber tip pressed onto the end. The screw holes can be threaded of a nut can be used on the bottom side. The most difficult part of this project is pressing the tips onto the screws. I heated them in hot water to make the pressing process easier. The sections of the pod organizer can be used single height or they can be stacked.
The 2nd picture is the stacked unit with pods in my kitchen drawer.

The oak snowmen in the background were last year's Christmas decoration project.

Looking good. If I drank coffee I'd be stealing your idea for myself.

Thanks 4D. I don't drink coffee but drink a lot of tea. 3/4 of those pods in the picture are varieties of tea.
And you don't have to steal the idea, I'll just give it to you.
